Fridays are casual days in most business settings. That's interesting. Those are the days that business managers and owners have been 'nice to the employees.' Let's let them wear jeans, but no flip flops, etc. Our customers will understand that Friday is casual day. The rest of the week we need to 'up it' a bit so people respect us more.
Sometimes we catch a glimpse of something. One of my last posts focused on that. You try something without putting too much effort into it and it works. If you look at barriers and opportunities quickly you
may accept them for what they are. It's useful to look at the same situation in different light. You may want to sleep on it or really look at it in a different light.
I'm looking at my new job status in a different light. In the daylight there are all sorts of barriers, warnings, moving parts all impeding my path through it. At night the chaos is simplified. There barriers are fewer but well defined. The known and unknown more manageable.
Today I had about two hours of free time. During that time I went to Wal-Mart to purchase some Green Slime to fix three flat tires, some batteries to revive a couple of flashlights and a couple of Bic lighters to start a fire. This is symbolic.
Saturday is a slightly overbooked day, too, but it involves a road trip and tunes; good. Sunday it's 'up north' which always has good outcomes, including some hands-on art work.
